Biography
Lena plans meals for tables where not everyone likes the same thing. She uses a shared base — rice, tortillas, potatoes, or pasta — plus small bowls of toppings so people can build a plate without a second dinner being cooked.
She never asks caregivers to pressure a child to clean a plate. Her notes cover what to serve, how often to re-offer a food, and how to keep the adult meal satisfying while a younger eater is still learning. The household budget stays in the conversation.
Families often start with four repeating dinners and a breakfast that can be assembled half-asleep. Once those feel boring in a good way, Lena adds one new vegetable prepared in a familiar style, such as roasted instead of raw, or tucked into a soup.
